Quick Ways to Upgrade Your Bathroom

Bathrooms are one of those rooms you spend a lot of your time in over the years. Deciding to renovate any of your home’s bathrooms is a big decision. It will be a big investment on your part and will take time to complete. If you aren’t ready to dive into a complete overhaul of your bathroom, here are some simple steps you can take to upgrade your bathroom within a budget.

The first and easiest way is to just get new hardware. This is a simple step that you can often DIY if you don’t want to call in a professional. Swapping in some new faucets, shower heads, towel racks, and light fixtures can make a big difference. And, some of these changes will improve your bathroom, and not just polish its appearance.

Now, if you want to go a bit further, here are some other simple and trendy upgrades to renovate a bathroom on a budget.

 1. Fixtures

Like replacing hardware, updating your fixtures will do wonders for your bathroom. This can be getting a new sink, toilet, shower or tub. You can just improve the functionality of your bathroom without doing a full gut renovation. This is a great way to start if you need to update an old bathroom. You do not need to fully renovate in order to get a new toilet or sink!

2. Get New Floors

The floor is one of the most important parts of a bathroom that you will want to keep clean and pristine. If your flooring is outdated, you can easily replace the floor and not touch anything else. When shopping around, you can look for more durable tiles, or even flooring with a luxury feel. There are many options to fit a budget so will find new tiles that work for you.

3. Paint

A fresh coat of paint is inexpensive in adding value to your bathroom. Painting is also fast! If you DIY, it can probably be done over a weekend. If you want to upgrade, look for a lighter colour which will open up the space and make it feel larger. You can also go with neutral colours or if you’re daring a bold pop of colour. The options are limitless.

All of these upgrades are perfect for quick upgrades for a bathroom on a budget. They are relatively simple and easy to do. Without a full reno, you can make your bathroom have a fresh new look with little effort. Add a fresh coat of paint, change outdated hardware, replace your fixtures, and install a new floor! Of course, you can tackle all of these and do a full renovation, or do it piecemeal over time.
